How to Recognise if You're An Overcomitting People-Pleaser (and how to stop the cycle) | Ep 28
If you’re an Overcommitter, you probably find yourself automatically saying “yes”, often without even thinking. You’re seen as the 'dependable one', the 'strong one' always available to help. But you end up juggling far too much — running around, squeezing everything in, and quietly carrying the pressure because you don’t want to let anyone down.
The difficult part is, even with the best intentions, this pattern can lead you straight into overwhelm. You might feel frazzled, stretched too thin, double-booked, or so burnt out that you end up having to cancel at the last minute — leaving you feeling guilty, frustrated, and stuck in the same cycle again.
In this episode, I’ll share how to recognise if you're People-Pleaser personality is The Overcommiter and how you can begin to break out of this pattern. I hope this encourages you to consider the powerful shift of including yourself in the equation —thinking not just ‘How can I help you?’, but also ‘What about me too?’ when you’re deciding how much you can realistically commit to.
